Heavy rainfall is forecast across parts of southern, central, and northern Somalia during the period 10–15 October 2026. Cumulative rainfall amounts of 50–100 mm are expected in parts of Gedo, Bay, Bakool, Hiraan, Galgaduud, Mudug, Middle Shabelle, Lower Shabelle, Sool, and Nugaal regions, with localized areas potentially receiving more than 100 mm.

Moderate rainfall of 20–50 mm is expected across other parts of the country, while some northern and coastal areas may receive less than 20 mm.

The anticipated heavy rainfall may trigger localized flash floods, waterlogging, and disruptions to transportation, particularly in low-lying areas, settlements with poor drainage, and locations near seasonal streams. Communities in flood-prone areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow official weather updates and early warning information.
