About World Natural Disasters
WorldNaturalDisasters.com is a global natural-disaster monitoring platform that aggregates live data from official scientific and humanitarian agencies — including the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), GDACS (European Commission & United Nations), NASA, NOAA, EMSC and ReliefWeb — into one clear, fast, accessible interface.
Our mission
Reliable disaster information is scattered across dozens of agency websites, each covering one hazard or one region. Our mission is to bring that information together: live alerts, interactive maps, country-level reports, documented historical records and practical safety guidance — free, for everyone, worldwide.
What we do
- Aggregate: we continuously sync data from official public APIs and feeds.
- Normalize: different agencies use different formats and severity scales; we map them to one consistent model, always preserving the original source link.
- Contextualize: country pages, historical records and safety guides turn raw feeds into understandable information.
What we are not
We are not an official warning service. We do not issue our own alerts, and we are not a substitute for national meteorological agencies, civil-defence authorities or emergency services. During any emergency, follow your local authorities first. See our full disclaimer.
Editorial standards
All editorial content follows our editorial policy and corrections policy. Live data handling is documented on our methodology page, and every data source is listed with attribution on the data sources page.
